Note: i) Detailed Syllabus for each examination will be informed later.

ii) For Classes VI to VIII following percentage of syllabus of term 1 examination will be included in the term 2 Examination.

VI 10% of the 1st term syllabus covering significant topics.
VII 20% of the 1st term syllabus covering significant topics.
VIII 30% of the 1st term syllabus covering significant topics.

iii) For classes IX to XII complete syllabus will be there for annual examination.

Periodic Assessment (Class VI to X)

Half yearly and annual examination contains 20 marks for periodic assessment. Breakup of periodic assessment mark is as follows

i) Periodic Test- 10 Marks.

ii) Note Book Submission at term end- 5 Marks.

iii) Subject enrichment at term end- 5 Marks.

Subject Enrichment Activities:

These are subject-specific activities aimed at enhancing the understanding and skills of the students. these activities are to be carried out throughout the term, however they should be evaluated at the term-end.

a) Languages: Aimed at equipping the learners to develop effective listening and speaking skills. The language teachers may devise their own methods and parametersfor assessment of the languages.

b) Mathematics: For the activities in Mathematics, CBSE website may be reffered.

c) Science: Practical work and activities in Science may be undertaken as suggested by the NCERT Syllabus and Text Books. The following links in CBSE website may be referred to: Science Activity class VIII.

d) Social Science: Map or project work may be undertaken as suggested by the NCERT Syllabus and Text Book.

Co-Scholastic Activities

The aspect of regularity , sincere participation , output and teamwork be the generic criteria for grading in the following co-scholastic activities:
a) Work Education- refers to skill based activities resulting in goods or services useful to the community
b) Art Education (Visual & Performing Art)
c) Health and Physical Education(Sports/Martial Arts/Yoga/NCC etc.)
i) Classes VI-VIII will be graded term-wise on a 3-point(A-C) grading scale.
ii) Classes IX & X will be graded on a 5-point(A-E) grading scale.

Discipline

The students will also be assessed for the discipline which will be based on the factors like attendance, sincerity,behaviour values,tidiness,respectfulness for rules and regulations, attitude towards society, nation and others.
i) Classes VI-VIII will be graded term-wise on a 3-point (A-C) grading scale.
ii) Classes IX and X will be graded on a 5-point(A-E) grading scale.

Promoton Policy

a) In Classes VI-VIII, the student scoring E grade in half yearly and yearly examination will be given one more opportunity to improve their performance in half yearly and yearly examination separately.
b) In Classes IX and X, students should score 33% marks in order to qualify in that subject.
c) In Class XI the qualifying marks in each subject will be 33%. In a subject involving practical work, a student must obtain 33% mark in theory and 33% marks in practical separately in addition to 33% marks in aggregate, in order to qualify in that subject. Existing provisions of compartmental examinations will remain the same.
